Farmer's Market, Southern California
Although I enjoy food in Italy and the Italian relationship with food, my visit to a farmer's market in California (where I'm from) this weekend was a reminder that in terms of food, California still holds a very special place in my heart (or stomach).
The best part of the market is the outdoor food stands, grilling and selling foods from everywhere in the world. This to me was an underline emphasizing why I enjoy eating in this part of the country. The conglomeration of so many people from so many different places makes going around the world in a few plates relatively easy. And cheap...$3.25 for good fish tacos! Things are always better with fish tacos, and best when they're that cheap!
